Manage your profile on Seedance

For now, account changes (name, photo, email, password) happen at seedance.visualseffect.com/profile. Community-only settings will appear here once notifications, themes, and privacy controls ship.

Privacy

Control who sees your profile and what you post.

Private account

When on, only your approved followers see your posts, films, photos, and activity. People who want to follow you have to ask first.

Messaging

Controls for the floating chat dock + the full Messages page.

Who can message me

Anyone

Anyone signed in can DM you. The default.

People you follow back

Only mutuals can start a new chat. Existing threads still work.

Nobody

Only chats you've started yourself can receive replies.

Activity status

Show when you were last active to others — and lets you see the same on theirs. Reciprocal.

Read receipts

Show the lime double-tick (✓✓) when you've read a message. Reciprocal.

Typing indicators

Show the three-dot bubble while you're typing.

Channels

How you'll hear about things — pick the channels you want.

Browser push notifications (unsupported)

Your browser doesn't support web push. Try Chrome, Edge, or Firefox.

Email digest

A summary email when you have unread messages from 5+ minutes ago. At most once an hour.

Weekly films digest

Every Sunday: a roundup of the five most-engaged films from the past week.

What you'll get pinged for

Mute the types you don't care about. Affects both the bell and push — past notifications come back when you turn a type on again.

@-mentions

When someone tags you in a post or comment.

Comments on your work

Replies to your posts and films.

New followers

When someone starts following you.

Reposts of your work

When someone quote-shares your post or film.

Reaction milestones

When your post hits 5, 25, 100, or 500 reactions for the first time.

Account achievements

Verification, Filmmaker of the Week, and the day-2 nudge after your first post.

Referral sign-ups

When someone joins from your share link.

Live broadcasts (people you follow)

Lock-screen push when someone you follow goes live. The bell entry always shows regardless of this setting.

Live broadcasts (everyone)

Lock-screen push when ANYONE goes live, not just people you follow. Off by default — turn on to never miss a stream.

Show activity status

When on, others see when you're active and your last seen. Turning this off also hides others' activity status from you.
